After spending the day yesterday in Northern Ireland, Prince William and Kate Middleton hosted Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa at Windsor Castle today.

For the occasion, the Princess of Wales chose a camel Roland Mouret pantsuit, while Princess Rajwa opted for a black strapless jumpsuit over a white button down blouse. Both William and Hussein wore navy suits.

The British and Jordanian royal families have close ties; in 2023, William and Kate attended Hussein and Rajwa’s royal wedding, and in 2021, the Wales family vacationed in Jordan for Christmas. Kate, in particular, has a long history with the country; in May 1984, when she was just two years old, the Middleton family moved to Amman, Jordan, where her father, Michael Middleton, worked. Kate attended nursery school in the Jordanian capital.

In addition, today, Prince William carried out a joint engagement with Prince Hussein, the heir to the Jordanian throne. It’s their second meeting just this year; William hosted Hussein at Windsor Castle in January. The two princes visited RAF Benson in Oxfordshire, as they both served as helicopter pilots. Per People, “They met trainee aircrew and staff from No. 28 (AC) Sqn and No. 22 Sqn and spoke to RAF personnel about their roles on site and experiences on deployment. It was No. 22 Sqn with which William served when he was a search and rescue pilot for three years at RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales. The team has now been moved to RAF Benson.”
